Penthouse Loft

What does one do with a historic roof garden atop an old hotel, now turned into a magical loft? Besides thank one’s lucky stars, some serious design thought must go into the plan. Here, the enormous room was broken into sections: seating, dining, entry and study. The key was to keep things open yet make it feel like a real home in which one could be equally comfortable hanging out alone or hosting a fabulous cocktail party. Modern upholstery designed by White Webb was combined with grand tour souvenirs and antiques to create a history-laden aerie that feels like the ultimate modern loft.
