Stanford White Classic
Within a former mansion, now an apartment building, this rare apartment had one great room sorely in need of restoration and a series of rooms with zero history or appeal. What to do? Rather than attempt to recreate rooms on a Stanford White scale, we simply added enough detail to the plain rooms to make them feel as if they belonged in the same house as the grand living room. The dining room was given a simple and elegant neoclassic treatment; while the living room was brought back to it’s former glory and furnished with simple but sumptuous style.Photo credit: Art Gray
