Hollywood called, and we were more than happy to put on a show. Thrilled by Architectural Digest’s invitation to design a swank backstage lounge for television’s biggest night, we set about creating an Emmy Greenroom like no one had seen. Inspired by the exotic, Moorish style of the Shrine Auditorium (host of the Awards show) and the glamour of Tinseltown, we created a magical space that we dubbed the “Hollywood Casbah.” By playing with the proportions of dramatic Moroccan patterns and incorporating rich materials and sumptuous color, we presented a stunning jewel box for Hollywood’s glitterati.
