Sleek Manhattan Aerie
Some couples never decorate because they simply can’t agree on a design direction, but the smart ones call White Webb. For this project, he was a little bit country (traditional) and she was a little bit rock and roll (modern), and it was our welcome challenge to create a scheme that appealed to both. Classic furnishings, such as Klismos chairs and Tibetan carpets, were juxtaposed with streamlined upholstery, modern millwork and some stunning mid-century lighting. Bringing it all together with a dramatic flair were architectural fragments, custom artwork, and of course, a life-sized Buddha sculpture. In the end, it amounted to a unique and fresh interior that both were happy to call home.
